Couples often decide to get divorced before they have dealt with the unfinished business in their relationship. Unfinished business results in feelings of anger, resentment and bitterness. It clouds your judgement and ability to make decisions.
You will misinterpret your partner’s behaviour and not perceive the situation accurately. This is not the right time to end things.
Only once you are able to walk out the door convinced that you’ve done everything within your power to resolve your situation, that you don’t want to carry on and want to move on with your life, then only are you ready to get a divorce.
If you can’t do that you’ve got too much unfinished emotional business.
“Experience is not what happens to you; it’s what you do with what happens to you.”
Aldous Huxley
